IBT’s Associate of Occupational Studies, Cloud Computing and Cybersecurity is an entry-level program designed for students with little prior IT experience. Designed to teach the necessary skills to prepare graduates to begin an entry-level career in computer network support and administration, this program provides the theory, knowledge, and technical, hands-on training needed to be successful in this growing field. Under the instruction of a team of industry professionals, students complete a total of 74 semester units through a combination of four General Education courses, as well as specialized courses including Computer Hardware and Troubleshooting, Computer Security Fundamentals, Network Security, and Systems Operations on the Cloud.

Students in IBT’s Cloud Computing and Cybersecurity program learn how to:

  • Manage computer hardware and software installation and support 
  • Practice and evaluate local, wide, and cloud network design, implementation, administration, security, and support 
  • Execute network server installation, network design, configuration, support, and security applications 
  • Practice the communication and interpersonal skills required to work effectively within work teams and with clients

IBT’s Cloud Computing & Cybersecurity program is an online-hybrid program: students complete the four General Education courses and the 12 technical modules completely online, while attending three on-campus labs per module, held on Saturdays. 

Graduates will receive their Associate of Occupational Studies, Cloud Computing & Cybersecurity degree, and will be prepared to obtain a portfolio of relevant professional certifications upon graduation, including the CompTIA, Cisco CCNA, Linux, Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure certifications. Professional certifications such as these demonstrate your knowledge and skill level to prospective employers, thereby increasing your employment opportunities.
